Producer

Georges Duboeuf is a story that began more than four centuries ago, when the Duboeuf family was producing wine in the Mâconnais. It is a story that inspired Georges Duboeuf at a very young age, when his uncle and brother passed on to him their wine-making know-how. Barely 18 years old, he quits his studies to take care of the family estate in Chaintré, one of the Villages of Pouilly-Fuissé.

Georges Duboeuf, often referred to as the “King of Beaujolais,” is renowned for his skill in producing wines that celebrate the unique character of French terroirs. While Duboeuf is famous for his Beaujolais wines, he also crafts wines from other notable regions like Languedoc and Burgundy. The “Le Bouquet de Georges” series represents his passion for fresh, approachable wines that are perfect for everyday enjoyment.

Le Bouquet de Georges Rouge is a testament to his commitment to quality, showcasing his skill in crafting approachable, fruit-driven wines with finesse. Georges Duboeuf wines are celebrated for their vibrant flavours and consistency, making them a favourite choice for wine enthusiasts around the world.

Food Pairings

This versatile red pairs wonderfully with Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Its fruit-forward and herbaceous profile complements grilled lamb with rosemary, garlic-marinated chicken, or a hearty ratatouille.

Try grilled lamb chops and its balanced structure also makes it a great match for a classic charcuterie board with cured meats, soft cheeses like Camembert or Brie along with some crusty bread.

For a vegetarian option, pair it with roasted red peppers stuffed with quinoa and herbs or a savoury mushroom tart.

Wine Region

The Languedoc region, located in southern France along the Mediterranean coast, is one of the country’s oldest and most dynamic wine regions. Known for its warm, sunny climate and diverse soils, Languedoc is ideal for growing robust red varieties like Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan. The region’s terroir, influenced by the cooling sea breezes, allows grapes to ripen slowly and develop rich flavours while maintaining natural acidity. Languedoc has earned a reputation for producing high-quality, approachable wines that reflect the Mediterranean lifestyle, perfect for sharing with friends and family.
