Château Perron, one of the oldest estates in Lalande-de-Pomerol, has been crafting exceptional wines since 1642. The vineyard, owned by the Massonie family, spans gravelly and clay-rich soils that are perfectly suited for Merlot and Cabernet Franc. With a focus on sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking techniques, Château Perron produces wines that embody the richness and elegance of this prestigious Bordeaux appellation. The 2019 vintage exemplifies their commitment to quality and attention to detail.

The term “lande” originates from the Celtic word “landa”, which means uncultivated and poor land where gorse and heather grow. This difficult land is, however, favourable to the vine, producing little grapes but of very high quality.

In order to preserve this natural finesse during the vinification process, the vineyard works very flexibly on the delicate tannins. This environmentally friendly production approach is all the more important as Château Perron have moved to organic farming.
