Ripe peach and pear flavours on the nose, with a hint of vanilla pod. The palate is rich with a silky, creamy texture. There are layers of ripe fruit and well integrated vanilla French oak. It has an excellent length and structure.

According to winemakers Claire and Michael Allan, organic farming is a matter of common sense, and a reminder that nothing you do is in isolation. Nature is a way of life for those at Huia, located in New Zealand’s Marlborough region. Vineyards are kept trimmed year-round by grazing animals, and bees are kept busy with wildflowers and trees that line the idyllic vineyards.

Awarded ‘Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Winery of the Year 2017’ by the New York International Wine Competition, Huia have become synonymous with quality wines from the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. They are famed for their aromatic whites, but their Blanc de Blancs also stands as one of the finest in New Zealand; delicately creamy, wonderfully biscuity, and with a finish to knock your socks off.
