Lamberti is one of the Verona district’s leading wineries and is known worldwide.
The original cellars are located in Cavaion (province of Verona), on Lake Garda, on the Tenuta Preella estate, whose name means “small stone” in local dialect.
The soils in the lake area around the estate are of glacial origin and rich in stones left by the retreating glacier,a fact that inspires the name of our best-selling wines all over the world:“Santepietre”, a name containing all the characteristics of the terroir in its bouquet.
In 1994 we began to build an out-and-out winery on the foundations of the old Tenuta Preella barn. This modern pressing plant is now the jewel in the crown of the estate and boasts state-of-the-art winemaking machinery, able to process a total capacity of about 4,000 hectolitres.
The heart of the estate is certainly the farmhouse. The first testimonies of this ancient dwelling date back to the mid-1500s, found on an old print illustrating the territory between Cavaion and Calmasino, where the area is indicated with the words “Contrà Predelle”.Nowadays this building so rich in history has become Casa della Lamberti, with a friendly point-of-purchase and tasting area.
Tenuta Preella is where Lamberti winemaking takes place, while bottling is located in the large, modern Pastrengo plant, a few kilometres away.
