2018 Domaine Félines Jourdan, Picpoul de Pinet, France, Languedoc Roussillon
Domaine Félines Jourdan’s Picpoul de Pinet is produced from vineyards that lie not far from the Mediterranean. Their proximity shines through in this beautiful wine, it has fresh, zesty aromas with a salty, oyster-shell palate. The citrus profile is supported by an attractive fennel and aniseed note as well as crisp acidity, which makes this wine a perfect apéritif or partner for shellfish and white meat.

The Domaine Félines Jourdan has been in the Jourdan family since 1983. The richness of different grape varieties, local soils and methods of vinification, together with a blend of tradition and technology, give the wines their complexity and originality.
The richness of the domaine comes from the different local soils. The domaine de Félines, is a plain which gently slopes down to the “Bassin de Thau”. The soil is mainly clay and chalk. The Mediterranean sea caresses the vines on hot summer nights with moist breezes; the vines enjoy mild temperature variations and low rainfall.
